I've got a question about bread!
Many people have asked how to store bread and this is the right place to see if your question has been answered. If not please drop me a line and I will find it for you and put it up for you!
Q: What is the best way to store my bread?
A: Our bread can be stored for 3-5 days either in a clean cloth bread bag, wrapped tightly in a paper bag, or placed on a wooden board and covered with a tea towel. Do not store any bread in your refrigerator, as it dries out even if wrapped. Instead, store it in a cool, dark place in your kitchen or pantry breadbox.
Q: How can I freshen stlale bread?
A: Spray the bread lightly with tap water and warm in a 400 degree oven for 10 min. Microwaving is not recommended, it will dry out and harden bread. Breads with thick crust can be made “crisp & crusty” again by placing the loaf directly on the oven rack for a few minutes before serving, preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Q: Can I freeze my bread?
A: Freshly baked bread can be frozen after it has completely cooled. Wrap it in plastic or freezer bag, expelling excess air before sealing. It will keep for up to 3 months. When you take it out of the freezer, leave it in the plastic bag for thawing until visible signs of water inside the bag have disappeared. Take it out of the bag and re-heat it in a hot oven for 10 to 15 minutes. It will be as good as fresh.
