Amanda always knew she wanted to bake from a young age. Whether it be breads or pies, she loves being in the kitchen and making a mess with flour, water, yeast, and salt.
Graduating in 2005 with Bachelors in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State, Amanda always felt like she was missing out on the creative portion in her life. She never lost her interest in making things for her family and friends.
She went back to school, this time for her passion in 2014 to Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco; to gain formal knowledge and classical training in the Baking and Pastry Arts. She graduated from there with an Associates of Occupational Studies. She is also a proud member of the American Culinary Federation and the Bread Bakers Guild of America.
She hopes that in a year to a year and a half that she can make another dream becomes reality by traveling the world while learning about the different types of breads to bring them back to America and cook them for you!
She wants also to bring back the artistry in Bread making. Stay tuned for seasonal breads, fun shapes and sizes. She wants to bring the Art back to Artisan Bread.
